PCA Golden Gate Region has recognized the "914GT" class as an official AX class that will accumulate points and run for year end awards. As the class is being populated by consistent top 5 regional and Zone7 AX drivers, the class will be very competitive.
The "914GT" class will also be recognized in the PAX calculations. As this is a zoomy class by rights, the class index will be 1.00, not a fraction. This class is for the big dogs. Drivers in this class are aiming at TTOD, not a class victory per se. This will take some of the open cars that have been classed in AX2, AX3 and AX4 and pool them under one class. Those committing to the class so far: Andrew Blyholder (Hamilton Racing and the dominant Smurfmobile) Nathan Breitling Grant Keyser Randal Barrick Bill Pickering Steve Nieslony SirAndy The season will start with Andrew, Nathan and Grant. Randal's Raby Rocket will be completed shortly. SirAndy's car and The Beast will debut during the summer. Steve Nieslony will be running an abbreviated schedule this year but by next year we could have a killer AX class. 914's pitting side by side, helping each other and competing against each other. Having fun like it's really meant to be. And upholding those 30 to 35 year old car designs against the Cayman invasion. If anyone wants to join in the fun, feel free. At the first AX for GGR just write in "914GT" for your class and continue for subsequent events. The class will be noted on the posted times and recognized on the PCA-GGR website AX standings. If anyone has any questions, post them here or contact via PM. Thanks, Bill P. |

let's definitely pit together. "slaughter of the tail draggers...." 914 Tent City.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) I'll also setup the class with Zone 7. That should be relatively easy as they normally adopt GGR classing. I'll keep everyone updated. Bill P. |
