Yea, but I'm older than dirt, hence why I was asking about his GF's mom. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Why would you want to put a Sumo wrestling belt on your car? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Count you blessings Dude....
About a year ago, my wife crushed one of my 914s with the F150 while we were on our way to lunch in separate cars.... told me she looked away for a second and then traffic was stopped.. as fate would have it, I got pushed into the rear end of one of my neighbors. ... 914 Totalled... it was later sawzalled in the driveway and disposed of bit by bit. The sheriff who took the collision report made me feel better... told me how his wife burned down their house by accident and then they had to go live with their in-laws for 6 months while the house was being rebuilt. No worries... I had a second 914 and another roller showed up at the house within 6 weeks. I drive behind my wife now. - Dave |

Cause I'm big enough to be a sumo! rwr!
The only bad part on the tools, is I have no compressor. I'm working on that though. They got a nifty 5 horse one at Wall Mart that would fit in my stocking.... |

Hawktel,
This should get you started: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread....+steering+wheel Basically, find a 914 steering wheel (same year as yours), remove the hub from it and install on the new wheel. Might need spacers, might not. Could a momo hub adapter fit on this wheel? Best part of it... Recover that old 914 steering without the hub to make it a 911 RS or RSR steering and seel it on ebay for 400.00 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Marc-André |

That steering wheel looks just like mine from the back. I acquired one of the generic 914 hub adapter units and it bolted up perfectly.

QUOTE(mikez @ Dec 1 2003, 08:56 PM) We're in deep shit....Bell has registered and is in the house.....seen the Rocket lately? Yo Mike.. Matter of fact I was down at Tom Messick's house last week. The Rocket was inside his garage and they were trying to sort out some fuel pump issue.... looks like the time out in the rain gave it some rust issues in the usual places, engine compartment where long meets firewall... I pulled out a large piece of rust with my fingers... Battery has been moved to the front trunk, and the grill has been removed from the hot dog cooker in the rear trunk. Damn I still love that car. - Dave |

It was always garaged when I had it.....WE warned him to keep it inside. BUT NOOOOOoooooo, he left it out.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
The fuel pump was new when we converted it.....the jumper in the relay box has a tendency to come loose. Tell him to check there.... |
