Smog motor used in the 75-76 2.0 914's and 912E's. Nothing special. It has huge holes in the exhaust ports used for pumping air into the exhuast (think: smog pump)

75-76 914 spec engine. Unless someone has jackes with it, it will have 2.0 heads but with no breathers in top of them.

almost all engines were the same, to me they are all the same case, just some had some stronger areas than others. Don't vary much from the factory, don't vary at all when I'm done with one..

Jake/Brad:

I have a GC engine and plan to plug the Smog Harness manifold holes in the heads...Is that smart or no ???

Also, Jake, what do you mean by "breathers in the tops" ...are we talking the same as the Smog Manifold holes ???

I just removed and replaced a set of valve covers that the PO had cut ports into...

I think that motor has been jacked around, does'nt have the smog pump mounts on the fan shroud (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Notice in the description-- "2.0 VW heads". Bad news, bubba... Now it's a high-compression Bus motor with a crappy single carb setup.

And a GC engine number. Woo.
