How much to attach a steel flare? I have found three kinds of shops.

1. Won't touch it.

2. Sure, $300-$350 each!

3. I do them in about an hour. (each) [edit]

The #2 people said 'butt welding' could run as much as 2x that number, and there would be no non-metal fillers.

Ok, that's insane. I am thinking about turning 2 projects into money, retiring a debt, and going full bore into this one car, my budget has shrunken considerably over the last couple months, as the local economy finally grinds to a near halt in my field. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I hadn't planned on using flares, this is just a fact finding probe.

On a brighter note, my biggest client just got out of rehab.
