I have a 73 1.7 and I did not mark my wires before unhooking for paint. The manual wiring diagram does not match the terminals or wire colors completely. Here are pix of my tail light terminals.

On the right side I have the following wire colors:
Black/green
Brown/brown
Gray/green
Gray/red
Black/yellow

On the left:
Brn/Brn
whit/blk
Gray/red
Brown/red
Black/white

What goes where?
