Saturday I'm going to install a 1987 911 SC front end onto my 1970 914. I'm wondering which flexible brake line to use. The early 914s (up to 71 I think) had one kind of hose and the later ones have a different style. Can I just use the 1970 style hoses I have on there now (which are maybe a couple years old) or do I need a different hose?

The difference is in the hose end and how it mounts to the car and the strut.

Which tab? On the strut or on the body of the car?

Tony,

I used the 914 brake line on mine. Aarons right, you have to ream out the tab on the strut so the end will fit through. I also had to modify the retaining clip a little.
