Saturday I'm going to install a 1987 911 SC front end onto my 1970 914. I'm wondering which flexible brake line to use. The early 914s (up to 71 I think) had one kind of hose and the later ones have a different style. Can I just use the 1970 style hoses I have on there now (which are maybe a couple years old) or do I need a different hose?
The difference is in the hose end and how it mounts to the car and the strut. -Tony |

you have to modify the tab with the hole that they sit in.... or at least i did. got to drill it out an 1/8" larger IIRC.

Which tab? On the strut or on the body of the car?

Tony,
I used the 914 brake line on mine. Aarons right, you have to ream out the tab on the strut so the end will fit through. I also had to modify the retaining clip a little. |
