I have had to decide whether to spend time and $$ to refurbish this 73 or to part it out...decided to part it out...longs on both sides are pretty much shot...

all glass is great...no cracks
dash (150 MPH speedo) has 1 crack above ash tray
seats (tan) no holes/tears
back pad is perfect
door panels are very good
original radio
all knobs in great condition
front/ rear trunk lids have bubbling/surface rust
original fog light grills in good shape
bumpers NG
headlights/motors in great shape...even have the original plastic caps on the knob to manually raise the headlights
almost all the seals are in great shape
has tan console but no face plate or gages
doors have rust in the drain hole...but no that bad
have front valance(metal)...paint has peeled off and has some surface rust
rear valance is shot

send me a PM and I will be happy to forward a pic witht he part you are interested in...

I suggest you hold onto everything until you find the replacement.

I completely and totally agree with this comment. But prepare yourself for the storage space this will require. You'll realize even after getting another 914 that you just can't get rid of this stuff because you might need it for the next one. And the vicious cycle repeats.

I had to build another shed to hold the parts.

When I cleaned out the blue car when it was decided that it was gonna be a race car I sold off all the goodies I pulled out.
I wish now, since I have another teener, that I would have saved all that crap. Most of it was in very good-excellent condition.

If I got a good solid bare tub, I could almost build a complete running 2.0 liter with all of the parts I have stashed. One of these days I'm going to have to have a blow out sale.
