I swapped out my Euro taillights for standard red because the orange lens clashed with the new orange paint. The front directionals are gone for the flared C fenders so I use the side markers as directionals. The orange lens here also clashes with the paint so I have some clear lenses but I don't think they'll look that good.
Has anyone done anything clever with these side markers?
Pics would be appreciated.

Eliminated them completely. Butt weld up the holes and give it the look Porsche intended.

What he said.

Or, turn them into actual turn signals instead of corner markers. Someone here (Dr. Evil?) Did a neat mod using modern side markers off a mazda or somehting, and they looked pretty sharp.

But I just welded mine closed.

I got rid of the warty looking ones and moved them back to where the newer cars have them. There is one done real nice on here where the guy flared the hole in and counter sunk the light just like the new VWs.
