Long story, but I'm the Race Chairman for the SCCA Great Lakes Division Driver School being held June 9th & 10th 2007 at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan.

This is a double school so you will have your SCCA racing license if you attend & pass both days. The racing supps and entry form can be found at the Great Lakes Website. Use this link http://www.greatlakes-scca.org/node/244 to get there.

Any questions post here or PM me.

Thanks everyone!

For anyone on the fence about getting their license, running W2W SCCA events are just a blast!

Hi Dan,

That's a pic from the 4/21-22 Laguna Seca SCCA Vintage event. I qualified 8th out of 40 cars which is a personal best for me!

Passed the green 911 on the next straight. Really fun passing those guys! (I have the VW lollipop emblem on the back just to rub it in!)

Running with other marques is great too. Really interesting comparing the 914's capabilities with BMWs, Datsuns, Lotus, etc. and figuring out where to pass.

Here's one guy that just plain blew me away. Porsche Platypus

Anyone considering getting into this aspect of our beloved 914s, and are near Garold, should seriously consider his offer for the SCCA Driving School (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Thanks for the (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif) In the next 3-4 yrs I want to get my SCCA racing license. I'm not sure if I would race a 914, now don't hate me, but I think spec miata would be a LOT of fun. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
