Is the vacuum hose junction for the 12mm hose anything special (ie, check valve, etc.) or just an open "y" for connecting the hose...I need one...

Which 12mm hose? There's one that is nestled up in the fan shroud that has a screen in it to act as a spark arrestor.

The others are, AFAIK, all simple junctions.

are you talking about this one? Lower right corner?
It is called the anti flashback valve.....I think it is more than a simple Y connection? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
