I'm cleaning/repacking a set of renegade 911/bus axles and adapters that I bought used. I recently did the same on a set of 914 axles, and each CV had a cone shaped spring washer under it. These 911/bus CVs do not, and it looks like there would be room for one. Is it supposed to be there, or not? There isn't a distinct machined surface for the washer to bear on, but then there's enough splined area on the axle for the center hub of the CV to slide back and forth a little. I'm confused.
