The color of the rear suspension control arms and arm bearing pivots on my '74 is a mixture of old undercoating over black and body color paint (red). Anyone know what the original factory paint colors and types (gloss, etc.) for these parts were?? Was everything black on the suspension?? Or were there some body colors on the parts visible in front of the rear wheel??

Agree, but what do you do with concours cars that have had these cleaned & polished for many years - to a very glossy finish?

Any way to take them back, without destroying the little original painy that's left?

Here are the unrestored arms on my '76. Anybody else have markings like these on theirs?

Thanks,
