The transmission came from Tennessee. The pulley came with the disassembled car. The pulley would rotate only about a quarter turn before contacting the rim of the housing -- ??? The pulley isn't round!!! Is this normal?

Furthermore, the bore of the pulley has threads rolled into one side of it from riding on a threaded shaft. One of the two housings/mounts that I have has a fully threaded shaft and the other has what I would expect, a shaft threaded only at the end. Very strange. Anyone seen this or is the fully threaded shaft a mod made by a PO?

There is a metal sleeve that slides over the threaded shaft. The pulley must have been used without the sleeve in place.
