5) The silver paint was used to search for pin holes. It will get stripped off when the welding is finished. The "not a rust hole" caption is pointing to a place where I pealed off some very thick gobs of tar-like undercoating that had dried. The metal is good uner the gobs. You can see more covered in silver paint if you look at the inner fender just behind the firewall.

Actually, I do still need a front left. You got pics of the area where it attaches to the car? That's been the show stopper for all of the fenders I've found so far.
