I bought some replated latches that had the rubber removed. I tried to pry some off another latch. They are locked in like a puzzle. Anyone replace theirs or have a source?

neo914-6, Mid America show a striker plate for beetles 1966-1977. They look like 914 "thru 1971" striker plates. The 914 "thru 1971" part number starts with "111" [VW]. I wonder if they are the same? You would need the matching year door latches though. No listing in MAM for just the wedge. Your plates are 1972-1973. If it helps, great. If not, no biggie.

These look right and are from a Thing, not 100% sure they'll work as I haven't tried them.

They look close to the original design, but the "ubber" finish should be smooth, not textured.

If it isn't a CW car, then they may work. But these things come up on eBay almost every week. Yeah they aren't new, but they're correct. If it's necessary to buy the whole stricker unit to get them it's still cheap.
