James & his wife are soon off to San Diego to "whip the socks off of the competition" in this year's Parade concours.

For those who don't remember, they did it last year. Oh, by they way, they drive the car & it is about 2300 miles to San Diego (more last year). They live in Maine, as I recall.

I, personally, hope they wipe everyone, just because of they drive.

They have a euro 914/6. Watch for the results.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Sitting in Dalhart, TX after 8 hours on the road, the last 20 miles on fresh pavement. You know, the type where the tar turns to liquid under the blazing sun. Driving on it is like driving on a road with water puddles. Sounds like it too. Net result, very black tires, rocker panels, rear valance and rear fenders. I'll be up until dusk cleaning the tar off. That is unless the severe thunder storms predicted roll in.

Oh, yea, the trip by mileage maps is 3,280 mi (close to last years trip to the Portland Parade).

Traveled through Greenberg, KS this afternoon. It was one of the towns hit by a tornado in the past few weeks. Damn, glad I live in Maine. All we have to worry about is freezing to death.
