Happy birthday Dave.
I am 28. Often reffered to as "the kid who kicked my butt" at some AXs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) Not by the gray-haired guy in the Miata. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Well, I was talking more about the PCA events. Those damn Miata's with 300hp shouldn't even be in my class (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) |

Young enough to drive a race car with a metal seat with no padding, old enough to feel it the next day.

I'll be 21 in 4 days.
That'll be intresting. I'm old enough to experience what its like to have a 914 that constantly demands time, money and work. And the worst part is, I have 3 cars now, and two are aircooled (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) |

Mabe now you should ditch the Mazda and get a 911. Then you would have three air cooled cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The mazda is the only one that works lol
I thought about it, but with all of the $$ these cars require i'd have to live in the 911! |

So true. I think they should change one age requirement or the other. If you can be a solier you should be able to drink, but then again with as little as they get paid I'm not sure if they can afford to drink (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I'm 40. I am finding that some of my childhood experiences are hard to explain to young geeks these days. Like helping my father carry boxes of punch cards into the university he taught at so that he could load a program into the main frame. (Looking back I am suprised he trusted me not to drop them) And although I never became a big video game player, I did play a very early version of moon lander on a mini main frame computer. The computer only took up about half of a room.

Cost all of $4,295 with appearance group(paid for it in 18 months). Made $10k a year as a chemist that year. Two years earlier I made 126.50/month as a buck sergeant in the Army (think they're underpaid now?). Bought my first house in '74 - 2700 square feet (new) for $40k. Unfortunately the interest rates were 13.5% then (think the rates are high now?). See if you can figure out my age. BTW, I still have have the 914, though it's not nearly what it was when I bought it. It's better. Pat |

I'm 20, my two cars are a combined age of 60 (1978 ford fiesta, 1976 914). And I'm old enough to have pictures of my mom holding me in front of the berlin wall in front of the brandenburg gate.
