Would I get knocked @ CdE if I covered those things in clear-coat brake paint?

Not sure but I'd think clear would yellow over time and flake... might hamper arm movement as well.

Would I get knocked @ CdE if I covered those things in clear-coat brake paint? I'm not joking I want to clear the hell out of those things so they look that way for the rest of my life! Why would you cover a masterpiece! DO NOT DO IT! Now, I don't have Eric's master work on mine yet, but I DID put new calipers on my '73T in 1994. They never had the "glow" of Eric's, but they still look new, after 13 years!

Besides, letting them age a little keeps them "preserved" (IMHO).

Please don't touch the work of a master!

Clear coat Pat, no pigment. They'd look the same forever. And to quote Mr. Morrison: "Comes out of the Virginia swamp, cool & slow w/ plenty of precision" Things rust down here my friend & I was just wondering if I could keep them looking that way. Not going to paint them red now, that's for the six (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) !
