Swooped from an SCCA/IT board --
----------------------------------------------

Across the back door of his enclosed trailer. "In this trailer is a disease for which there is no cure."

Across the back bumper of a GT1 car. "You must be fast, cause you were haulin' ass when I passed you!"

"Driver has no cash"

"Born to race - Forced to work"

"I fish like I golf - I'd rather be racing"

"Driving a race car is like making love to a gorilla - you don't get to stop when you get tired"

Seen on the back of a van: "If you can read this, I've lost my trailer again"

"We interrupt this marriage to bring you the racing season"

"Remember when racing was dangerous & sex was safe"

"Honk if anything falls off"

"The only sport thet requires a pair of balls"

"My drinking team has a racing problem"

Seen by the gas cap "Insert cash here" (also suitable for the hood)

"Caution: This vehicle may blow up for no apparent reason."

Next to the fuel filler: "Gashole"

On the hood: "1500cc Cash Injected"

"The surgeon general didn't say anything about smoking the competition"

"RACING...When Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll aren't enough..."

"ALL THE PARTS FALLING OFF THIS CAR ARE MADE WITH THE FINEST BRITISH WORKMANSHIP."

Printed upside down on a Formula Vee: "If you can read this, roll me over!"

"Those with golf balls golf...Those with real balls race"

Butch Kummer's (GT-1 Corvette) mantra... "BK Racing, Turning Money Into Noise"

"You can sleep in your race car, but you can't race in your house."

"REAL RACECARS TURN RIGHT AND LEFT"

"If you can't race it or take it to bed, who needs it?"

"If it's got tits or wheels it will give you trouble"

"When I was young I spent lots of money on women and cars. The rest of it I wasted."

"Work is the curse of the racing class."

"We interrupt this marriage to bring you the racing season." side by side with: "Families that race

together stay together."

"Racecar spelled backwards is racecaR"

"My lug nuts require more torque than your Honda makes!"

"Wide open till ya see GOD then brake"

"Don't follow me, I'm just making this s**t up!"

"The more I learn about women, the more I like race cars"

"Roadracers go in deeper and come out harder"

"I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you"

"How do you make a small fortune racing? Start with a Large one."

"Fast cars drag race, fast drivers road race."

On the dash of an old British race car; 3-position switch labeled
-DIM-
-FLICKER-
-BLOW FUSE-

"Credit Cards: The Great American Sponsor!"

"My wife says she's gonna leave me if I go racing ONE MORE TIME...God, I'm gonna miss her!"

"Leave me alone! I'm playing with my Wankel!"

Tony and I where on the way back from Orchard Supply and saw a car with a HUGE piece of cardboard in the rear window that said:

Nuke There ASS
Take There Gas

We couldnt stop laughing.

Yes, they used the incorrect "There" instead of "Their"

You guys are making sounds like you live in the Pacific Northwest. Ginter didn't want to leave this morning, he thought it was beautiful, but then he only had two hours sleep.

Some day we might talk about "were" vs. "where" also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I'm not only stuck here in the rain...I've got a sick kid, mama's out of town, and the nanny is off today. Fortunately Sebring is on Speed Channel right now.

I spent this rainy day driving my friends newly purchased $2500 914 from Riverside to L.A. Two hours in pouring rain, no heater, windshield fogging up, hoping I didn't end up crunched like the 10 or so wrecks we saw. Not exactly relaxing. I had to drive it because the seller was 6'5" and had the seat bolted to the floor as far back as it could go and my friend Bob couldn't reach the pedals. Luckily he's going to strip the car for the track because except for no rust this one is rough to put it nicely. I think he overpaid but he was axious to get something to replace the one he rolled last weekend. The sickness continues. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

I spent the day workin' on wheels and (gasp)gardening. Yup, old fart rootin' around in the dirt. Come another shower....I hear them wheels calling.
Wurked out pretty well, actually.

I have no gramatical complaints....other than the shitty speeling around he're.

Me? Had to pass on the last day of the bunny season (see hunter at left) due to rain, so I poured all my energy into the garage. Jamie nearly passed out when she came out to see around 4:00. he he I must have done all right - she's complimeted me on it every half hour since. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I'm just happy because now there's room to finish prepping our extra car for sale, and then it's time for the good stuff - working on the 914 hydraulic clutch conversion, replace the dead fuel pump, and finish the turbo plumbing. Expect pictures in April.

Paul,

I happen to be one of the rare types who likes both and I think autocrossing is way easier. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif)

For the record I have taken FTD at an AX, but never at a road race, LOL. That's in the same car BTW. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Hiya Zeke,

That's what I figured, but if I didn't have a reason to give Brad or Mueller a hard time... so I had to do *something*.

On a more serious note.. would painting the brake rotors (non-braking surface) interfere with proper rotor cooling? What about the heat of the rotors - would it damage the paint?

Painted rotors are a CW thing, I saw lots of them at the Porsche Parade in Boise last summer.
