The ones with the dome hubcap right? I like those but I love Pedrinis more.. Oh and for the Fuchs they should be stock IMO.. Like my dad always says "It came from the factory like that for a reason, SO DON'T go screwing around with it.." haha

Wow, resurrecting old threads has become quite a common occurrence these days. I had other plans for my car from the moment I bought it, but it still looked pretty darn nice like this I think (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

I have had both original and black background. Personally I think they are a tad boring stock and look better with the black, kinda 911 like. I prefer Mahle wheels because of the race look. Polished Fuchs to me look good on a custom bug, but too gangster on a 914.

I still want to get mine powder coated black with a silver lip, but have not done it for years now and probably won't. Too many other irons in the fire.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) nothing like a stock set of snowflakes on a silver 914. black paint just looks stupid. my 1.7 is this way, stock. black vinyl on the sails. black targa top.

I never thought or heard that they were trying to be like real Porsche wheels. I had them for 7 years in California. I think it was the krauts last ditch attempt at displaying the Iron Cross.

Hmmm... anyone doing reverse black? Black petals with natural recessed area, polished rim perhaps? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I'm sure it's been done before, but does anyone have any pictures of 4 lug Fuchs with a RSR finish? Maybe Photoshop?

When I see 911 Fuchs polished or even worse chromed, I want to puke.
But I must admit those polished 914 Fuchs look pretty sweet.

I first refinished my wheels with the black insert, it was a fun project and it took me the whole day, stripping, sanding, polishing, painting, etc. I was very happy with the result. Then about 6 months later, i noticed the paint was slightly chipping off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) and it made my wheels look like total @#$$%!

So Then I refinshed them again, and have never had a problem since (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
