Had mine for 12 years. It has decked many, many 1.7 rocker arms..(even a set on maf914s engine:-).. hard to kill!

That must have been the high point for Makita, as the one I had was purchased 18 years ago and the bearings failed after 3 years.

In my shop and at work I have used Ingersol Rand & Chicago Pneumatic angle air grinders. They usually last 5-8 years of production. The CP units have lost build quality when the company sourced their product offshore a few years ago. I also use a 14 year old Makita. No problems with it, sweet tool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)
