Contemplating convertion to Dual Carbs

Rather than spend an additional $400+, i would rather use a set of Solex H40/44 EIS Carbs and Linkage i have lying around; the type that's commonly called Kadrons.

Has anybody used this system on a 914?
If so I'd like to hear their experiences.

Any idea how they will perform on a '75 1.8 - EC code?
How close will it be to FI performance?
These being single barrel, I realize its not going to be a powerhouse...

As for why not stick to FI, please see this post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
