I know it's tantamount to expulsion from this non-club, but I'm grasping at straws here.

Have a 97 GLX (well, the wife does). Loves it (I HATE it - money pit). It needs a simple low beam headlight bulb. Bought a bulb for $10 from MM & J. Now, I find out that I need special tools to replace this? Yeah, it looks a little complicated, but special tools?

Called Holbert (remember them - the standar of of 70's & 80's Porsche racing?). After being screwed by them for 10 years, with never a bone, they told me $150 - for a bulb replacement!

I will roll this VW over a cliff before I spend $150 on it (did I mention that my wife LOVES it?) $6000 in 3 years, so she can love it! No more.

So, Anyone out there with experience in changing a headlight bulb - drivers' side? I just want to make this thing safe enought to donate.

PM me please - let's not take up bandwidth here.

Thanks
Pat
