Stacy and I would love to meet up and check out some sights if anyone's interested.

We will be cruising on a custom made Hybrid pedal power/ electric powered car.

Supposed to be around 42-45,000 people this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I'd love to go, but from the sounds of things it has gone from being a bunch of hippies in the desert to a fairly commercial event.

I should have gone 10 years ago like I planned, but of course 10 years ago I did not have the scratch to fly across the country, rent a car, and camp in the desert for a week.

I usually like to find pics after the event on line, but the pics from the past couple of years do not look anywhere near as fun as they did a while back.

Used to be a niche event with less than 5,000 people across the country.

Now it's a big yuppie party.

I used to be a 'male' (mail) carrier with a friend of mine. That was fun... "Hello miss, I have a message for you... Yes, I am in my boxers..."

Commercial event? I don't know how that could happen considering there are zero companies representing inside Black Rock City. Oh, and there is zero commerce with the excepting of coffee, tea, and ice. That was done on purpose. No commercialism.

There's still a bunch of stinky hippies in the mix but ... I like hippies for their idealism and free thinking. Reminds me of me.

Brando, yep my buddy still does deliver mail sometimes and writes for the Black Rock Gazette. Yuppie party? I'm not sure I've ever seen a Yuppie there. Hard to find an Izod shirt amongst the bare bods. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

"Crue and Unusual Punishment"? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Man oh man. If getting massaged by half a dozen naked women is cruel then bring it on! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Well, my art car is coming along. Pic attached.

In case anyone is attending we will be near 4:30 amd Estuary.

Last update will be Sunday.
