The GD fit pretty good and I'm going to do some filing on the front. When fitting, there are two gaps. One is between the the rear of the GD and the dash frame--I have about 1 1/2 inch gap there. The second is between the face of the dash frame and the front edge of the GD--I have 1/2-2 inches there.

Right now, it appears the GD will attache to the original gauge hoop with the original screws and at the dash face ends.

Any tips for fitting or things to avoid will be appreciated--I'm taking this real slow.

Just grind, cut, massage, add on, basically whatever it takes to make it fit correctly. I have one in my car and I remember it took a little work to make it all work. Are you covering it with anything? I did leather.
