Lately, I've seen lots of photos linked from photobucket and other sites...

Feel free to upload them here. You don't need to worry about them taking up too much room!

P.S. Except for you Z... no need to upload your porn collection... nobody has THAT much space!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)

While it is great that you allow us to load our pics here, there are some advantages to using a image host like Flicker.

First, you can load more then one or two images to a post.
Also, image hosts shrink images by default. Images loaded here tend to be very large, and even slow things down while I'm surfing on a T1. Most important to me, if you have you images server on a image host, you can point anyone to them, and not just folks that have accounts on this board.

I'm not a mod or anything, but I think its a good practice to host images on a dedicated image server, and just link to them.

wrong on all accounts! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

- you can upload more than one picture per post here.
- images are automatically resized if they exceed 800 x 800 pixel in size. a thumbnail is displayed and the user has to click on the thumbnail to see the full version of the picture.
- you can link to any picture posted here anywhere you want without any restrictions. viewers do *NOT* have to be members here to see your linked picture.

Therefore, loading times will be... Faster, because you aren't pinging a dozen different servers for the same information?
