I have never seen a 6. Except in pictures on this and Pelicans board ( I know, I have lived a sheltered life)and never seen a picture of the front bracket/motor mount on either board. But judging the age of the original paint that was on the car (in that area), it looked like a factory job. I didn't take a picture of the bracket, but I did note the serial # If you or anyone else could post a pic of the proper bracket, I could tell if it is what I saw. I have the phone number of the owner and will call him and ask what he knows about it. What is possible to me is that as 72 was the last year that they made the 6's, that they ran out of bodies made for the 6's after they had shut down the production line and took some 4's bodies to fill orders they had on hand for the 6? Is there any way to find this out? |
