Mike needed to adjust his clutch after climbing to the high point of today's drive.

How many 914 owners does it take to figure out Jim's Pertronix has bit the big one?

Fortunately, we had available the following to help diagnose and fix the problem:
a new coil
two multi-meters
a timing light
a distributor
a set of points
a distributor with Pertronix already installed

You aren't surprised by that list are you?

A few more. We had a heavy downpour right after returning to the hotel from dinner. It didn't stop us from toasting Howard. Now that it's stopped raining, it's time to head back down to the action!

the 'multi mechanic' pictures are priceless!!!! you have to love a set of points and a condensor in the glove box. where did you find a fuel pump for carbs on a sat afternoon? mike's supervisory position during the pump r&r is too much. hahaha. next year for me for sure (if it should happen).

Love the tribute to Howard by using the windshield banners and the antenna ribbons. Could i somehow get one of those ribbons? I'd like commemorate the life of Howard. Have fun guys! And drive safe and may the car gods keep a safe eye on you on your travels this RRC2007. Oh yeah! Where the shirts? IIRC Greg (TrojanMan) making some.

Hell of a idea with the Windshield Banner

He was well thought of in the Mid West also. If you have extras let me know.

Hey now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) , that was still the diagnostic stage... That's Fiid under there with a multimeter seeing if I had power. I did the actual install, and smelled like gas all day to prove it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

NAPA had a faucet that works, for now...

Toast with my son Mike. Toast will have to explain this one.

If this had been in the "enter your own caption" thread I would have responded with this...

"What??? are you guys 14 year olds? You are the 10th guy here to unhook my bra!!!
