So we have the motor in the car and I have a bunch of work to do. AFAIK, I need to do the following:
1) install new fuel pump 2) install intakes & carbs 3) install CVs 4) install tranny linkage 5) install exhaust For those that were there and those that have done this before, I know I need to do a bunch of things for each of these and there are a lot of steps. I know I will need some stuff too, like fuel lines, hose clamps, etc.. etc.. Please let me know what stuff I should be looking for and on the look-out for. I hope to have the car running within a week or two. Thanks! |

fuel pump -
sir andy did a classic article on wiring the fuel pump. start there. mounting.... a screw. fuel line, buy non FI fuel line (sub 1$ foot....) start with 8, and that should be about good, and give you some extra. Intakes and carbs. simple. Put the manifolds on the car first, then followed by 1 carb. 1 carb must be solid mounted, so the linkage crossbar can be fit (it is spring centered, and most cases, cannot be put in place with both carbs bolted down. You will see this. CV's remove circlip off axle, slide cv off axle slide new cv onto axle reattach circlip. tranny linkage 2 conescrews and a boot. exhaust - same way it came off. instalation is opposite of removal. |
