Anyone have luck repairing a type 4 thermostat as shown here:

http://www.ratwell.com/technical/Thermostats.html

I looked at my thermostat and could not find any leaks (even submerged). It is in the uncompressed at room temperature and does not expand when heated. Also I hear something rattling around inside, any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan: Stick it in the freezer and then measure it. They don't work till it gets cold.
