Has anyone removed the rain tray to cool engine? I dont drive in the rain and was thinking it would let alot of heat out of the engine compartment.

I would have to guess that it might.
I run a six and went to a gt style lid that opens up the entire top of the engine lid and my temps dropped 10 degrees. |

most of the folks in Norcal that drive their cars on track or at AX or even just weekend cruise, take the rain trays off. You get a lot more air into the engine compartment.

The rain tray is for catching rain and that's it. It's not designed to channel airflow or anything like the engine tin is, so if there isnt any rain on your teener, its no big deal to take the tray off.
