I'm not following you. They were bleeding their new what install? Or were they bleeding their newly aquired used m/c?

New brake caliper install. Something about a M/C sitting w/o fluid. I've seen many go bad after the fluid is drained or after they've sat for any period of time.

If a used m/c is so dangerous, why does this site and PP allow users to sell a used m/c? There are no warnings last time I checked on this site in the classifieds...

Cus we're not your mommy or a governing body... we're you. I don't think the people here are trying to pan on you for using an old M/C, we're just trying to help and offer advice. There's no hard rule saying "It will fail", it's just that; a bunch of us geeks that have been around these things for way too long have seen it happen multiple times. Just looking out for ya bro. Thanks. I'm going to rebuild the cluster and get a new m/c before I drive it daily.
