I remember somebody saying you can get them from the manufacturer directly(thus saving money). Do you need to have any "credentials" to do this, or can I call em and order a set? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

Sway-A-Way.

They have moved, but I know they are in SoCal. You need to know the spline count and length. They probably wont know exactly what you need without the numbers. They are off-road racers that make axles and torsion bars (kinda the same thing)

They have a website.

You can try the: "Sir, I need torsions bars for my 914 Porsche" They make the bars for Weltmeister that all the parts pushers sell.

When I needed 22mm bars for my -6 everyone was out of stock on them. I bought them from Sander Engineering in Torrance. They make their own, they mostly deal in sprint car parts. They are at (310)534-1210. I'm not sure if they had bars for a -4 but you could check.
