I guess now would be the time to tell you something about myself, eh?

I like cars. I like bikes. I like building, I like to be able to look back and say "Yep, I did that". So this is some of what I've done.

BTW, I'm a tool maker turned Quality Control inspector turned Materials Technician. I work in a cannon factory, yeah, big ones. Failure analysis, experimental materials/processes/weapons. Fun stuff.

My DD bike is a BMW K-1100rt

I built a Yamaha 250 Bobber for the wife:

BMW 325i that I bought for $400; college girl could get it to run, I removed the plastic fuel filter that was sucked into the fuel line and got er going. It's my track/Auto-X beater.

Had a 1952 Dodge pickemup that I drove forever as a 6 cylinder, 6 volt until an old guy ran a light and T-Boned me. I put the body on a 1981 1 ton frame. 318, 727, Dana 60. 4200lbs of entertainment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Grassrots Motorsports magazine holds a contest every year. Compete in 1/4 mile drags, Autocross and concours. Can't spend any more than $2007, show all receipts. I built a 1966 VW Bus on a Monte Carlo frame, 400hp SBC mid-engine.

Blew it up right in the parking lot. But I got the Peoples Choice Award, Best Visual Package and honorable mention for Most Spectacular Failure.

I was going to go back this year with a Corvair wagon I bought for $300. I got another Monty frame with a HO 305 from a Monty SS and a T-10 aluminum 4 speed. Threw in the towel and sold if for $1000. Shuntadundat....

I made a roundy-rounder Monty for the street:

My son was in school in NYC and Mom wouldn't let him bring the bike, so he bought a 450cc Suzuki for $500, added a new seat, new tires, flipped the bars over, K&Ns and for less than $1000 got a pretty cool bike!

Yamaha 650 I'm making. 5" stretch hardtail.

There's more, but my computer is tired.

Yep....And before it ever made it here, I found a better one! It (ol'yeller) sat in CT. for 8 months before I brought it home and promptly sold it for what I had in it...The new owner totaled it within 2 weeks!! Sorry to say, ol' yeller is no longer with us.

How are you enjoying your new 914???
