The horn on my 914 came on and won't go off. I yanked the fuse so as not to annoy the neighbors, but it's stuck. I pulled the ring off and the rubber donut underneath is dry and all squished up. There is a wire coming up the column and grounded to a tab, that tab is broken off.

Does anyone sell a horn rebuild kit? I looked the the FAQ section but didn't see anything.

Thanx, Dan

If you have the new AutoAtlanta catalog, check page 57. I recently rebuild my steering wheel and included the following parts for the horn:
Horn Boot: G901 347 823 01 $12.71
Horn Contact Plate: G914 347 099 00 $39.54 ($15.00 Used)
Horn Base Plate: B914 613 805 A $29.50

Good luck!

Thanks guys. If I remember correctly, when I wiggled the wire without touching anything with the exposed wire, the horn went on. This tells me there's some bad Juju down inside the column.

I'll order the catalogs.

Thanx, Dan
