He's talking about San Diego, where the people aren't really any nicer than here, but it's really close to the border so you can go to Mexico and stock up on Viagra and Xanax and eat a lot of tacos.
Royce, did you get your CV joint fixed? |

Royce, did you get your CV joint fixed? Hehe, yup, San Diego, not South Dakota. Specifically Vista. Strangely enough, my mom is from South Dakota though, and I've been there many times. She grew up in Wessington Springs. I got the axle back in, but I did have to take it off from the inboard side first. It took about 10 minutes of fiddling to get the outer cv to line up, but I was able to do it without taking off the wheel or even jacking it up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) For those that didn't hear, my 914's outer drivers side CV came loose about 3 blocks from my house. I did use new bolts and schnorr washers, but I apparently forgot to install the crescent plate thingies under the washers. Oops. |

Ahhhhh, true. Selling things for more than you have in 'em kinda (net) makes 'em an investment, IF you can do that. I'll grant you that. The word "IF" is pretty important here. Given your due diligence to the details, it'll be interesting to see if that happens. Glad, BTW, the bolts, plates, and washers did the job...............

In PA the fine for "simple assault" is 67.50. which is way more gratifying than any amount of remuneration. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) If you want to make even more money than you would buying the 240, enjoying it, and dumping it to ur schedule....then BUY ANOTHER ONE!!!... you got blessed w/ a cheap deal on a cheap decent car. STOP SWEATING THE SMALL SH*T and enjoy the car. I've bought and sold thousands of vehicles over the last 30+ yrs, some losers, and some winners. The ONLY big losses involved lawyers,.... so just enjoy the car. Its a miracle most DMV's don't require all 30 yr old cars to be RECONSTRUCTED.

The Cap'n Oh, did you give markb bolts, crescent plates, etc for me? If so, THANKS!!! Right now I'm still running on 2 bolts and no crescents on that CV, and checking them daily for tightness. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'll keep World updated on what happens with the Z, but I'm pretty confident we'll come out OK in the end. It's already served its primary purpose of getting Julie hooked on a classic car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

If you can find a way to do it legally, YES! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) While you're in the neighborhood doing that, stop by and help me adjust my valves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
