Hello guys and girls, here is an observation from my 914 work over the weekend: As designed by Porsche, the Ljet fuel injection system doesn't have a fuse on the fuel pump circuit.
That fuse on the engine compartment relay board? Yeah, the one intended for the fuel pump? Doesn't do anything. And that fuel pump relay on the board? Doesn't do anything either. The Ljet system bypasses all that. It uses the double relay for pump control. The double relay takes its power directly from the battery, without a fuse. Good grief, those Porsche engineers really dropped the ball when they cobbled up the wiring for the Ljet injection system. |
