I took this picture when I disassembled my engine, and now I'm second guessing myself. Is this the proper orientation for the oil control valve (that inserts near the lifter bores)?

Yup, thanks guys, the orientation just didn't seem right.

Sometimes with this internet, I forget to refer to my good old Haynes manual.
