installing new carpet and new seats and was wondering what the relay goes to under the pass. seat? some of the wires (black) have corroded thru and wonder what they go to.

From 1974 there is the seatbelt interlock relay. I believe that connecting the big yellow wires together will bypass the system thereby allowing you to remove the rest of it. There have been other threads on this subject.
