Was looking for and CLEAR diagram of the stock fuel line routing
nothing in the Classic threads section and my Haynes isnt much help.

I go out and jack up the 73 to look but theres friggin snow on the ground!!

No sweat Rich, I need the search practice. BTW, is the 'damper' referred to in the 2nd diagram the pressure regulator?

Nope, the "damper" in that picture is from a non-914 application. The 914 does not have a "damper" for the fuel loop.

That particular connection winds up going to the passenger's side fuel rail, and from there eventually to the driver's side fuel rail, to the pressure regulator, and then back to the tank. (Between the FPR and the tank, there's a Y where the "R" port of the fuel pump is hooked in as well.)
