I recently took the rear calipers off my 73 914 2.0 It has what mic's out to 34mm pistons or so.. when I go to the parts houses to get rebuild kits, they show 42mm for the back and 48mm for the front calipers. These look bone stock. Has anyone ever gone through this? what is the answer? I cant seem to find 34mm rebuild kits anywhere...

any help appreciated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

914/4 rear calipers were always 33mm
The 911 Carrera from 84 to 89 has the 48 & 42 combo, but that is far from a 914/4.

33mm for the rear and 43 up front. Even if you did get the right kit it doesn't include all the seals.

I think Doug in Canada had the same problem and mentioned it here on the board. Sounds like the big parts house databases are screwy on this one.

Umm, that better be 42mm up front for all years of 914/4.
