Well, I'm getting close to finishing my second project car and I'm trying to get it ready for a trip from Tampa, FL to Charlotte, NC for Porsche Parade (arrive June 28th). I've owned this car for over 2 years, but I've never driven it. Currently it's mostly put back together, but I still have a lot to do. I need to install the front and rear calipers, clean the engine and tranny and reinstall. The engine is a stock 2.0l FI. Anyway, I put together a list of the things I need to do and/or parts I need to purchase and the vendor. If anyone has other suggestions, please add your comments...

alternator belt - AA
push rod tube seals - VW shop
spark plugs - VW shop - Bosch W7CC
spark plug wires - CB Performance
oil - on hand
oil filter - on hand
points - VW shop
condensor - VW shop
front motor mounts - ????
rear motor mounts - ????
tranny speedo gear - on hand
throttle cable - AA
clutch cable - AA
speedo cable - AA
(4) flex brake lines - AA
brake fluid - on hand
repack CV joints - me
CV schnorr washers - McMaster-Carr
rear suspension adjustment schnorr washers - McMaster-Carr
rubber fuel lines - AA
plastic fuel lines from FI fuel pump - AA
vacuum hoses - AA
fuel filter - Autozone
FI rubber elbows - AA
muffler copper gaskets
drain tranny oil and replace - me
bleed brakes - me
adjust front suspension height - me
all gear shift bushings - parts on hand
rear sway bar bushings - parts on hand
time engine - me
adjust valves - me
clean injectors - can I soak them in carb cleaner?
