Saturday morning the rain stops, the sun even is coming out!!!
Drive all the way to the AX, just in time to register.
Switch the tires to the Kumho's and go to the drivers meeting,
My group runs first,
Hmmm, that looks like maybe a rain cloud coming,
Get the car in to grid and Holy Shit its pouring!!
Result of 5 runs,
3 with 180-360 spins
1 slow run without hitting any cones or spinning maybe good for 5th place
1 re-run cuz I wuz flagged off the course for dragging a cone? oh well, I spin on that run too!

So as my group is done the sun comes out and drys the track for the stock group. Now they are running the top times of the days without trying!!

Other than that the car handles sweet but look out for the wet spots and rivers on the course.
Saw Eric Fry, Dave Ellison, Chris Reale, Kevin Powers, and Chris

Started to drizzle when my group began. Never really started up though. I actually had an alright time. On my second and fourth run I missed two fucking gates because I was not paying attention :gilloutine: My best time was 61.739

Yeah, everybody noticed that and how the car handled. Actually, Blair ran the fastest time until Dave E beat him. Blair had better luck keepin the car from spinning although he spun it too. Eric Fry had a couple of nice spins in his 914/6.

Yea, I was working at station 2, and both dave E. and Eric Fry spun right in the middle of the cross over.

Yeah, I worn my 914club t-shirt but it was too cold to take my 2 coats off. I was also spreading the gospel of Brad to the other 914 guys so they should sign up and not lurk.

Sleeping late... missed out on a ride <_< Oh well

Home alone, finally. MIL left today, and wife&kids shopping.

I'm shopping for underwear IN my underwear (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I don't have to go stand in the rain till next weekend. If it be rainin', Mr.2 is getting it's AX baptism. I tried ulf in the wet once and that was more than enuff. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

You live on the wrong side of the range! It was sunny and 65 here today. 'Course I wasn't enjoying it since they moved our first event up to today with only two days notice and I've got the car all apart. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) So while my buddies are off autocrossing at the new facilities I'm mowing the stinking lawn and fixing cars.

Bummer about raining on you AX. Then again, Seattle isn't known for its sunny days.

Maybe next time.

Usually the November event is the bumbershoot autox and it's cold. At Bremerton if it stops raining the damn wind (about 10-20 mph)will dry the course out pretty quickly because its soo sloped. I was doing ok just couldn't handle the sweepers at either end. I need to try that suggestion of driving in a 60' circle to get use to the way the car steers under throttle. It's waay different now with tires and suspension mods.
It was funny talking to Eric Fry as he was running Hoosiers and really sliding around but I think Blair still managed to beat him by a few 1/100's. He is running a 2.7l like you JP and all that power doesn't help.

Dave, all you missed was getting soaked and then freezing your ass off cuz of the wind!
There wasn't any hot coffee either as the concession stand people didn't show up!
