The car is a prototype built from a Porsche 914/6.
It was designed by Jacques Cooper (the man who designed the TGV, french high speed train) It was built by Heuliez wich is a french company involved in convertible for french car manufacturers http://heuliez.com The prototype was shown at the Paris fair in 1970. The car was sold by the factory at an auction in 2001, and I have no idea where it is now. |

You can read about the car in the Brian Long book (p 170-171) but there is no picture.
I thought the car was popular in the 914 community but the search engine didn't found anything about this car on 914world. So I decided to post the pictures I collected on the internet. |

I like the Heuliez better, it's pre-bowed from the builder so that the doors will still open after the longs rust out.

I actually like the Goertz Prototype other than the front. If it actually had the front of a 914 it would be a really cool little roadster wagon.

The prototype was shown at the Paris fair in 1970. The car was sold by the factory at an auction in 2001, and I have no idea where it is now. Whoever has that car now hopefully could return it to the configuration it had when it left the PORSCHE factory. That design has no redeeming features whatsoever. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) Andy Before posting I typed "Heuliez" in the search engine and found no match. When I type "Murene" I find this thread http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=527 that is not very informative ... |

don't know if this was posted before (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
I don't like the Murene, but it's a part of the 914 history ... here it's in action at a concours in Germany: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeYOILf6QXI...p;feature=share |
