Looks like i was the fastest street legal 914 that drove there under it's own power. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Gary Chapman, John Seidell, Bill Dally and Demick Boyden are right behind me ...

I know you got a hell of a buy on those tiars & wheels, but had you used 710s or A6s
(properly sized, of course),
you'd have been in there for "street legal".....prolly would have been faster, also.
Not cheep....but hay, it's braggin' rights. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

"street legal"

By "street legal", i didn't refer to the PCA classification or CA smog laws, but rather to the fact that i drove my car to and from the event.
Under it's own power and with current tags on my license plate.

If i'm not mistaken, i was only beaten by 914s that arrived at the AX on/in a trailer ...

I understand.....but I didn't make the rules....dunno who did for that matter.

Gary didn't have the time to drive down so he got Brit to tow his car and flew there & back. He drives it (It's all legaled up & he's got the tickets to prove it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) to our local events.....on the Hoosiers.

yes but you were beaten by a RSA on 340 wear rating street tires (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

good job on really old slicks Andy... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am surprised they didn't delaminate or deflate after the way you and B were beating on them.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Whats the story with this street drivable thing? I could drive my car on street by adding a rear bumper a windscreen and front lights. Its still registered with DMV. My suspension isnt any differnt from when my car was on street? Andy, Based on Mods you have done you class out to AX2 which is highly modified car. I would expect your car to be very fast.

I agree with Dan given tires you were running you did awesome!

Actually, i have to reclass the car. the rules have changed so much that i'm now in the lower AX3 without going through the list again.

I might be able to squeeze as low as AX4 ...

PS: Yupp, the tires are toast. The left rear is completely corded all around, the other three have corded flatspots. Time for a new set ...

Ouch AX4 still puts you in same class as the highly modified Hamilton car, Steve N's parade winning dedicated AX 914 and a couple very fast 911's.

Most of the street going 914's are AX6 or higher.
