These are the rectangular clips that hold together the 2 halves of the fresh air box under the front cowl. I've seen them in black paint, silver paint, natural, plated, etc. What's the original color/finish??

On a '70, natural metal finish (if I'm thinking of the same part as you are).

Yes, those are the clips on the Behr box and for a '74.

The clips on my 74 are black. However under the black looks to be cad plating.

The 'bare steel' clips pictured above look awefully bright/shiny for bare steel. I'd bet those are clear/silver zinc/cad.
