My passenger belt on the 73 came apart at the seams a few weeks ago. I have a spare off of my other car. I took it off the other day and now have a small problem.

The belt on the spare that I want to install has retracted most of the way into the housing and I can't get the belt extended. Are there any tricks?

The replacement belt came from a 76.

TIA

You need to hold it upright just the way it was mounted.

They don't work in any other angle ...
