Yep ! that is pétanque. This is a very popular game in the south of France. I like to play it, it's very funny. There are even a few americans who play it. The rules are very simple.

I enjoyed your video. We spent last May in Lourmarin. While there I saw a Porsche Club drive. one 914 and 356 many 911's. All from the Nice area. My wife and I really like the Provence area.
