On the news here recently...

"...Police arrested some 50 guys in Amsterdam for internet scams
They promissed people large sums of money if they would send some funds first..."

Sound familiar? Now get this...

"...About half of the arrested group were NIGERIANS..."

Justice after all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)
(well, lets hope so...)

cheers,

Jeroen

Feed them lots of hot and spicy Surinamese food, that will make them sweat!!

I didn't think the police did anything in Amsterdam except drink coffee!

Now, wait a minute.

When I was travelling from the Netherlands to Germany, I remember seeing the police unload a search a VW bus at the border. Oh, wait a minute, that was the German customs police! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

A lady I worked with was unfortunate to fall for this scam. She works for the state of Oregon and withdrew all of her retirement $120,000.00 and got taken for it all. We were all issued a memo explaining the scam and the unfortunate incident involving my co-worker. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Apperantly they e-mail wanting a large sum of money so they can get to some exotic country where they are royalty or have lots of money and promise a large return on your money when they get there.

Greed, it's all about Greed. I don't feel sorry for the co-worker.

I only shed my tears when a senior citizen is directly targeted for such scams. I also have a thing for stringing up anyone who touches kids.....

You have to be pretty dim-witted to believe the scam. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
