Trying/was going to install it today. Where do I align the optical thingy thing to? I'm also guessing the round pizza thingy slots have to line up to the slot alingment thing is for the rotor. Yes, I'm too lazy to get the directions out and use the terms to make this easier. The directions that come with the kit are kinda broad and don't say much. Probably made for someone who knows what they are doing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

That is EXACTLY how I should do tech articles...
Guy's... your making this more difficult than it needs to be. Shoot some pics of the components and I will walk the group through it. I'm not sure which one you have... the Pertronix installs without lining anything up. There is a small notch in the dizzy housing that is almost dead nuts for TDC1. Line it up with the notch... forget all the cap lining and twisting. Yank the dizzy and install it. DONT turn the engine over and reinstall the dizzy. I normally use a paint marker to mark where the dizzy was set to too begin with...so the car will at least run when I put everything back together. Then... put a timing light on it. The dizzy will only go in one way (rotor direction) B |
